septemberbride linens & room decor

so by now you've read about the basics of septemberbrides' wedding, now we're going to talk about room decor & our visit to gotchacovered.

                                                -----------

A good few months back we visited the wonderful showrooms of gotchacovered to show septemberbride the linens & room decor options they provide.

we were bowled over by the sheer volume of decor options available to any bride.

after much discussion september bride decided on her chairs, chair coverings, table linen & centerpieces.

in-keeping with the classic style of septemberbrides' wedding she chose classic muted tones with a vintage design element, incorporating some of the crystal collection, which we decided would be the perfect accompaniment to our floral designs.

a few weeks later gotchacovered even agreed to come onsite to visit the venue & view the space we were working in, the stunning views have a huge impact in the items which will work well for the wedding.

we consider a venue visit imperative for all design suppliers eg. lighting supplier, florist, room decor company as it will outline the possibilities for design.

next time we're going to talk about the other suppliers we recommended & discuss the dress, the cake & the lighting design

septemberbride - the marquee

last time we told you the suppliers we had recommended, today we're going to talk about one of the most important features of the day {aside from the flowers!} the marquee...

so we suggested north down marquees to septemberbride, however as it turns out her family have associations with pavillion marquees & they had already kindly offered to supply a glass fronted marquee, to take in that wonderful view, remember  the view ???

we still needed to visit northdown marquees to decide on catering equipment, glassware, crockery & all the other elements that most brides forget when they are having a marquee wedding... such as the toilets!

we are firm believers, as is septemberbride, that there is no point having a wonderful reception, wonderful flowers & wonderful marquee if the toilets are not up to the same standard, so we have been looking into hiring these babies...

these are the ultimate in luxury when it comes to restrooms, a must for a wedding where every detail is flawless!

our next blog will be published this coming tuesday & will give an insight into our meeting with gotchacovered to discuss venue decor

celeb weddings

there have been so many high profile & celebrity weddings in the past few months that we've decided we should pay homage to the glitterati.

here are some of our floral displays, not dissimilar to those of the stars .....

septemberbride - our chosen suppliers

so last week we explained about our first consultation with septemberbride, following which we went away & came up with some initial floral designs & a list of suppliers which we felt would fit with septmberbride's style of wedding.

for the marquee we recommended northdown marquees  & proposed a glass front to make the most of the stunning backdrop of the atlantic.

we took a long time to consider a wedding dress designer {as it's such a personal choice} & eventually settled on willow moon in moygashel,co tyrone.

when we thought about wedding decor we decided to recommend gotchacovered, specialists in the field of wedding transformations.

for lighting installations to suit septemberbride we suggested marmalade n joy

we also considered our floral designs & chose :

Vanda Orchids

White Freesia

      Phalaenopsis Orchids

Stephanotis

These blooms all look stunning alone & together will create an amazing display of modern floral design, whilst in-keeping with septemberbride's wishes of simple tones & classic styles. Whilst being breathtakingly beautiful to the eye the scent from the white freesia will be delicious.

Our next blog will focus on our visits to the chosen suppliers with septemberbride, we will publish this on Friday 15th July.

A wedding in progress

we've decided to let you all a little further into what we do & follow the journey of one of our brides from her initial consultation to her wedding day. .

we first met our bride in late 2010. we discovered she owns a busy hotel & it was because of this that she asked us to help her in planning all of her big day {apart from the food, as she's a trained chef!}

so of course we agreed...

initial discussions involved the venue & for our bride there was nowhere else it could be than the family hotel. she wanted a glass fronted marquee to be placed on the lawn & look out at the wonderful atlantic. she also told us that september was the month she had decided upon, so we've christened her September bride

next we asked about a style or theme & were told that the couple would like the wedding to be kept simple, elegant & classic. from this we could establish a mood board & colour chart.
think along the lines of ivory, white, champagne, crystal, pearl & lace

then it was up to us to bring in our expertise to establish the styles of flowers for the wedding & also decide upon the best suppliers to visit with September Bride.

...

the next chapter of September Brides' story will be published on 12th July
